Pitter Patter Parties - (Sequel to Pity Parties). Comedy Rated PG low budget set anywhere in US, Australia or UK
Logline: Why have a Baby Shower before the baby is born? What about after when the mother has no sleep, can’t go to the bathroom alone nor even have the energy to get out of her pyjamas? Pitter Patter Parties to the rescue.
Synopsis: 5 years down the track. Gavin and Grace are engaged with no plans for kids or wedding as yet, while Ian and Adelaide have just had their first baby, a girl they named CASSIE. Adelaide can’t believe how hard it is being a stay at home mom for the first time.
Grace tries to help by organizing a party for all the friends to come around and offer cleaning, cooking and sleep times for Adelaide and it makes a huge difference to her sanity. Grace and Adelaide come up with the idea of ‘Pitter Patter Parties,’ to help first time mothers with getting their head around having their first baby. The parties have a minimum of 10 guests with a Cocktail theme, ie: get to dress up instead of being in their pyjamas all day.
Each guest brings at least two meals for freezing, the rest is supplied: mocktails (alcohol is optional), maid vouchers, sleep vouchers, family portraits, baby feet and/or hand prints, finger print jewellery, name jewellery, the catalogue for personalized baby items is endless. Guests can buy these for the host mother. The parties take off even more so than the popular Pity Parties and Adelaide becomes a super mom, writing another book about it all and helping Grace run the parties.
Adelaide’s book, ‘The Pitter Patter of tiny feet and the loss of my brain cells” sells really well. The same comedy style around family and the ups and downs of having children. Hilarious. Vomit, shit, boogers, you name it, it has it all. Not recommended for people thinking of starting a family. Just kidding.
